An utterly amazing genius piece of kit. Have just returned from an off-grid camping weekend in a wood. The Luminaid was a great hit both in the tent and walking around in the wood at night.

Received one as a gift and love it! Used it at a cabin without electricity and it kept the restroom lit all night. The dim setting provides just enough light. I enjoyed kayaking with it too. It was a big hit with the family and now I know what to get everyone for Christmas.

I recently used this light on a week long September camping trip in Southeast Alaska. The light provided enough illumination for me to cook several late dinners, and made it very pleasant to hang out by the campfire. It also was fully charged every evening, even in the foggy gloom of SE Alaska! The only change I would make to the light would be to have a handle on both ends so that you can hang it in the tent pointing straight down. I will be purchasing more to give as gifts.

I live off-grid in Alaska and have not set up a home solar system yet. In the winter, I power my lights with a generator-powered battery bank or use a battery-powered lantern. I am always looking for ways to reduce my power consumption. I bought the Lumin-Aid and charged it for a couple of days by hanging it in my window, and I have been using it for over a month as a night-time reading light. It has worked great! Since I am in a location where direct sun is blocked entirely for 6 weeks in the winter, I’ll be looking to see if there is enough ambient light to recharge it when needed. Great design!
